Meet local crafters in the Triangle and surrounding area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Garner, Wake Forest, etc.) We get together and work on different crafts for socializing, motivation, and to get ideas and learn from each other. Want to do craft classes but can't stomach the price tag? This meetup is designed to teach and demo cool crafts and techniques in all kinds of media. Metals, beads, collage, paint, drawing, assemblage, papers, yarn, food, upcycle- you name it we'll play with it! Every class taught will produce a usable, or at least super-interesting, item that you keep. Classes will be limited to 12 participants, will include wine and snacks, and will always be in the $25 range.

… Our cultural events range from visiting museums, to attending the theatre, to taking painting classes, to whatever else we can think of to do. Some of our activities allow us to try something new or just do something together. In May there will be a historical self guided tour with docents along the way at a cemetery and a walk at the North Carolina Art Museum. Sometimes, as an artist, you need a little help working through your problems. We get stuck, get "artist's block," or can't seem to finalize that idea for your next painting. The purpose of this group is to get artists together to communicate their ideas and concepts and to give and receive feedback from a group of their peers. We welcome any artists struggling with a concept or idea as well any artist who would like to assist in the conversation.
